Meiosis

Here's a detailed version of Meiosis. Prophase I is divided into 5 phases. Meiosis has the additional complicating factor of needing to pair up homologous chromosomes and to have them exchange pieces (crossing-over). Crossing-over is thought ot occur in the diplotene phase of prophase I.
